Port Arthur man dies after car falls on him

A man in Port Arthur was killed when he was working on a vehicle and the jack stand slipped. First responders were called at approximately 7:15 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 2700 block of 22nd Street where a man was trapped under a vehicle. He was taken to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas where he died around 11 p.m., Justice of the Peace Joseph Guillory II said. An autopsy was ordered.
