Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro’s minority government got backing from opposition parties including the Socialists to defeat a censure motion presented by far-right party Chega.

The motion of censure against the PSD/CDS-PP Government presented today by Chega was rejected in the Assembly of the Republic with the abstention of the PCP and favorable votes of the proposing party.
