According to its site, Northwest Iowa Power Cooperative (NIPCO) is responding to extensive damage and system-wide power outages caused by today's severe winter storm across western Iowa.

Highway Forced Shut After Blizzard Pulls Down Powerlines

Part of Interstate 29 (I-29)was shut on Wednesday, March 19, after a blizzard pulled down powerlines near the Port Neal exit, on the south side of Sioux City, Iowa. This footage, posted to Facebook by Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, shows traffic banked up as emergency crews work to repair the fallen powerlines.
