PSP: Elderly man scammed out of $20K after being told son needed bail
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is seeking assistance with a case after an 88-year-old man was scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars. The elderly man received a call Thursday, April 24, from a person claiming to be an attorney. The person told the man that his son was in jail and needed $20,000 in cash for bail.
