Raleigh approves rezoning for $1B Lenovo Center district
Raleigh City Council unanimously approved rezoning 81 acres around the Lenovo Center for a $1B sports and entertainment district. The plan allows up to 40-story buildings, 1,450 housing units, 1.8M sq. ft. of non-residential space and a 4,000-seat concert venue. Cardinal Gibbons High raised pedestrian safety concerns.
