Although he had lived on Vancouver Island for the past more than 30 years, Reg Whynott was at the centre of Hamilton business and local politics for over two decades.  In Business he served for 13 years as General Manager of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce followed by two terms as the Chair of Hamilton Wentworth Region as it was then called.
