Reintroducing compulsory military service? According to the president, it will not solve the security problem

President Petr Pavel concluded his two-day visit to the Pilsen Region in Klatovy on Tuesday, where he held discussions with citizens. The issue of introducing compulsory military service also came up. The president does not consider its renewal to be a solution to the security problem.

Parliamentarian Segundo Quiroz introduced Bill No. 10618/2024-CR, which seeks to incorporate citizens from 18 to 29 years of age into compulsory military service.
