Six year old dies in house fire in Gulmi

A fire was declared on Saturday 26 April 2025 in an old farm in Brumath, near Strasbourg. Three children, in cardio-respiratory arrest, were extracted and evacuated in absolute urgency to the CHU of Hautepierre. A 12-year-old girl and her 10-year-old sister died. A third child, 6 years old, is still hospitalized in a serious condition.

According to the locals, the youngest son of Mani Nepali, Bibek Nepali, aged 6, died in a house fire. Bibek and his sister Ashmi Nepali, who were home alone at the time of the incident, were playing with a lighter. Bibek set fire to a pile of straw near the barn.
