The police closed the entrance to Špindlerův Mlýn in the Krkonoše Mountains on Saturday after 1:00 p.m. The parking lot at the resort was fully occupied by skiers and mountain visitors. People should park their cars in Vrchlabí and use public transport to get to the resort. Police spokeswoman Šárka Pižlová told ČTK. The situation improved in the evening.

Janské Lázně (Trutnov region) - Skiers filled the parking lots by the cable cars in the Krkonoše resorts of Janské Lázně, Černý Důl and Špindlerův Mlýn this morning. The mountains are clear and sunny and thousands of people have come to the ski resorts. All the main Krkonoše resorts have their slopes open, with up to 140 centimeters of snow.
