Slovakia: Disputed NGO law passed

On Wednesday, the Bratislava Parliament passed a law with a narrow majority to make NGOs more manageable. In the future, they will have to disclose their funding and the names of larger donors in detail. Prime Minister Fico's government originally sought even tougher rules, but weakened its plan after demonstrations and a warning from the EU Commission.
