At "Le Point" magazine, more than 50 planned job deletions

The draft plan for safeguarding employment concerns 32 employees in CDI, out of about 200, and 26 freelancers, according to sources internal to the AFP. The liberal weekly sold 286,000 copies per issue in 2024.

The weekly Le Point will launch a social plan that includes 58 job deletions, including editors who will be replaced by artificial intelligence tools, learned on Wednesday the AFP from consistent sources, confirming information from the media La Lettre.

The project is aimed in particular at the magazine's revision and correction services, which employ around fifteen people. In the future, some of these tasks would be carried out by intelligence tools.
