Spring Snowfall Not Expected to Stick Around

Summary by VOCM
We’re a couple of weeks into spring but Mother Nature is apparently unaware of that. About 10 cm of snow is on the way for the southern strip of the island from roughly St. John’s to Port aux Basques. The snow begins tonight in the southwest and it will be blustery as the winds will pick up, particularly in the Wreckhouse overnight. Dale Foote, a meteorologist at the Gander Weather Office, says the snow isn’t likely to stick around for long.
