The Semmering tunnel chain will be renewed and will receive state-of-the-art safety facilities. The project with three phases of construction on the S6 (Semmering Expressway) in Lower Austria and Styria will start on Monday, according to Asfinag. Approximately 270 million euros will be invested. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2029.
