State objecting to change of venue in case of death of Lily Peters
(WLAX/WEUX) – According to a court document, the state of Wisconsin says the defense, rather than a change of venue, can instead create a well-drafted jury questionnaire to deal with the issue of juror bias. The motion for the change of venue was filed last month, and the defense argued that it was unlikely a fair jury would be found in Chippewa County due to media coverage and public relation to the death of Lily Peters in 2022.
