A primary school and two sports club on Tyneside are celebrating after netting donations totalling nearly £10,000 from a national housebuilder. Novocastrians Rugby Club, Havannah First School and Wallsend Boys Club have been presented with cheques totalling almost £10,000 by Newcastle-based Persimmon Homes.

A housebuilder has raised over £75,000 for Cancer Research UK through three years of fundraising efforts.  Story Homes, with regional offices in Carlisle, Newcastle and Chorley, achieved the milestone via golf days, bake sales, raffles and dress-down days.  The latest fundraising campaign raised £25,000 for the charity in the 2024/25 financial year.
