Students were informed about Thalassemia

Health Minister Anil Bachoo made a visit to the New Cancer Hospital*, Solferino, Vacoas, on Wednesday, with British professors Malcolm Walker and Derek Yellon, specialists in cardiology. This visit marked the inauguration of the Thalassemia *Imaging Service*, a new service designed to improve the diagnosis and management of patients with thalassemia. Thalassemia is a genetic blood disease requiring medical follow-up.

The president and members of the board of directors of the Association of Thalassemia of the Prefecture of Magnisia visited the 10th High School of Volos, following an invitation, in order to inform the students and teachers of the school both about thalassemia and the value of voluntary blood donation.
