India football great Chhetri comes out of retirement aged 40 for Asia Cup

Sunil Chhetri has come out of retirement to play for the Indian national football team in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, effective immediately.
The Indian football team will play a friendly match against Maldives on March 19 before facing Bangladesh on March 25.
Chhetri retired in June 2024 but will rejoin the squad following a discussion with Indian head coach Manolo Marquez.
He aims to add to his total of 94 international goals, ranking him fourth among all-time scorers.
