Marseille: tried for rape and sexual assault on patients, hospital psychiatrist sentenced to 12 years in prison

Dr. Adida was sentenced to 12 years in prison for repeated rapes on three of his young patients and for sexual assault. Between 2010 and 2020, the Public Assistance of the Hospitals of Marseille, the council of the order, the regional health agency, the public prosecutor's office in Marseille were alerted to delusional behaviors of the psychiatrist.

Guilty of rape and sexual assault, former Marseille psychiatrist Marc Adida was sentenced to 12 years in prison. A verdict that does not fully satisfy the victims.

Marc Adida, a psychiatrist-hospitalist of the Public Assistance-Hospitals of Marseilles, has been tried since Monday for repeated rapes on three of his patients and sexual assault on a fourth.

The attorney general of the criminal court of Bouches-du-Rhône had requested this Friday a sentence of 18 years of criminal imprisonment and an injunction of care against this caretaker of the public assistance of the hospitals of Marseille.

The doctor was charged and placed under judicial supervision on Thursday, 3 April. He is accused by several women, who report events between 2017 and 2023.
