More than 35,000 square kilometers demined in Ukraine, PM Shmyhal says

Over 35,000 square kilometers of previously mined territory have been cleared since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during a government meeting on April 4.

Shmyhal: The government is counting on an increase in the wheat harvest. Sowing has begun in all regions of Ukraine, almost a million hectares have been sown. The government has demined over 1,000 hectares of agricultural land.

The Basque Government and the regional councils will develop a strategy for generational renewal in the agricultural sector. This strategy will include funding of €25 million over the next three years and aims to recruit 1,250 young people to the sector over the next ten years.
