Acting Kursk region Governor Alexander Khinshtein invited a Russian Orthodox priest to bless his office with holy water following the arrest of his predecessor on fraud charges earlier this week. “I have a clear understanding of how much sinfulness has accumulated within these walls in light of recent events,” Khinshtein wrote in a message posted on Telegram Thursday.
The court arrested the Deputy Ex-Governor of the Kursk Region in a fraud case
The Meshchansky Court in Moscow arrested Alexey Dedov, former Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region, in a case of fraud on an especially large scale (Article 159 (4) of the Criminal Code), the telegram channel of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction reports. He pleaded not guilty.
