The chairman of the Czech Television Council (ČT) Karel Novak today, on the proposal of more than a third of the councillors, convened an extraordinary meeting on May 6 to dismiss the CEO of ČT Jan Souček. Novak told CTK today. To be recalled, Souček must vote for the motion by two-thirds of councillors, or 12 out of 17. The council is supposed to have 18 members, but one seat is currently unfilled.
