The European Parliament expresses its regret for the conciliatory approach of the European Commission towards Serbia, despite its regression in the area of the rule of law, democracy and basic rights, as well as the destabilizing influence on the entire region, and calls on the Commission to use clearer language and to consistently point out Serbia's shortcomings, lack of progress, and even regression.
