Milei promotes war veterans to reserve second lieutenants
Argentine President Javier Milei signed a decree promoting combatants in the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas War who wished to enlist as reserve officers -known as “aspiring reserve officers” or AOR- to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
The Government recognized as Subtenientes de Reserva the Official Aspirant Soldiers who fought in Malvinas
The decoration was announced on April 2, the Day of the Veteran and the Fallen in the Falklands War. At the same time as they reaffirmed their commitment to regain sovereignty over the islands, they stressed the need to recognize all citizens who gave their lives for the homeland.
