The government has taken a shocking step to stop the killer disease

The zoo had to close due to foot-and-mouth disease to protect the susceptible animals living there. However, a reopening date has not yet been announced.

The government will establish an animal health operational team that will coordinate the work of authorities, defense and security organizations involved in the fight against foot-and-mouth disease, the Minister of Agriculture announced on his social media page on Friday.

This is the sixth Slovak farm where the infection has appeared.
