The people, politics and democracy: the essence of Pope Francis' vision

After the death of Francisco, the Argentine pope, we spoke with Alberto Molina, a professor and researcher at UNCUYO who met Bergoglio. We analyzed the role of the supreme pontiff on a global level, what his legacy left and what his link with the university world was like.

Pope Francis' encyclical “Fratelli Tutti” presents strong and continuous references to historical and political tension and often one can encounter profound systemic reflections on the capacity of democracies and representative institutions to guarantee and preserve social peace, as well as on the governance structures that the Pontiff considers most appropriate in order to ensure harmony between peoples and fundamental human rights.
