PORTERVILLE, California – A woman who tried to stop her car from being stolen ended up being shot, authorities said. On Monday, around 1:00 a.m., the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), received a report of a shooting between S. Westwood and W. Orange St. in Porterville. Upon arriving at the site, a 54-year-old woman, who had been shot, was found taken to a hospital and later discharged, the police statement says.
