Thinness reaches new levels – researchers want to “vaccinate” young people against eating disorders

“Pro-ana” content and surgically altered bodies are filling many people’s social media feeds these days. And there is a direct link between social media and eating disorders. A research study is now underway to develop a tool that will provide young people with a counterbalance to negative appearance fixation. – We hope to be able to “vaccinate” young people against influences on social media, says researcher Ata Ghaderi.
