For some time now, the driving licence in Germany has become extremely expensive. Transport ministers plan to make it affordable again.

The transport ministers of the Länder demand the federal government to make the driving licence examination cheaper. They criticize the overloaded theoretical training, which leads to high diarrhea rates and rising costs. A driving licence costs up to 4,000 euros, which is a problem especially in rural areas.
