Trump administration directs agency heads to fire most probationary staff

President Donald Trump's administration has asked U.S. Embassies to prepare for staff cuts, according to three sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters.
U.S. Embassies have been instructed to reduce both U.S. And locally-employed staff by 10%, which is to be reported to the State Department by Friday.
An executive order from Trump directs Secretary of State Marco Rubio to revamp the foreign service to align with his foreign policy agenda, which includes possible personnel discipline for non-implementation.
Around 60 contractors at the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor have been terminated, with more cuts possible in other bureaus, as reported by a U.S. Official.
