Turkey plans to deploy its air defense systems, such as Hisar, at the Syrian T4 (Tijas) base near Palmyra. The Middle East Eye server reported that the base will be reconstructed. It is intended to be used both for attacks against the Islamic State and, apparently, to deter Israel. Turkey will also use Minak airport in the north of Aleppo province.
