The police are looking for the person or people who committed vandalism in Monasterz in the Podkarpacie region. A new plaque critical of Ukraine has been placed on the monument commemorating UPA soldiers. A Christian cross has also been placed next to it. Expressions of strong condemnation of this act have flowed from ministries in Kiev and Warsaw.

"We are dealing with a 'deliberate provocation' that serves, among other things, the interests of the aggressor state – Russia," the Polish and Ukrainian ministers argued.

The plaque on the mass grave of members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in Monasterz was replaced. The Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine commented on the matter. The ministries published a joint statement on the matter.

The Foreign Ministers of Poland and Ukraine reacted to the act of vandalism against the grave of the soldiers of the UPAAlexander Mishchenko discussed bilateral relations with Marek Pravda. He drew attention to vandalism on the graves of UPA warriors, calling for condemnation.

The ministers confirmed that the parties will continue to work on strengthening the strategic partnership and resolving outstanding issues through dialogue and mutual understanding.
