Urban wilderness is teeming with life, biological research in Brno and Ostrava has shown

Summary by Novinky.cz
Overgrown corners of cities, where greenery flourishes and which are considered their shame, can be oases of life and homes for protected animal species. This was shown by the MAGDES research project, in which scientists and ecologists joined forces. In ten locations in Brno and Ostrava, they found 476 species of arthropods, among which 50 are rare or even protected by law.
