US Army ups ammo output with new 155mm loading, packing plant

The service can produce 40,000 monthly. The goal is 100,000.

A few days ago, the U.S. Army and General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems opened a new facility for the loading, assembly and packaging of 155 mm artillery ammunition. The new facility is part of the GD-OTS factory in Camden, Arkansas. The projectile shells delivered to the plant will be loaded here and equipped with components, such as bottom gasifiers, on two parallel production lines.
