US customs duties: Madagascar in order of battle to negotiate its 47% tax

Madagascar has received since this morning the famous 47% of customs duties imposed by the United States, the highest rate on the continent, after that of Lesotho, taxed it, at 50%. Since the announcement by the United States of its massive customs taxes, meetings have been held for the government. Yesterday, a meeting between members of the government and several representatives of the private sector took place at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Claire Annette Pierangelo, United States ambassador in Madagascar.
