The younger the student, the more feminized the teaching profession: in Early Childhood Education, more than 9 out of 10 teachers are women worldwide, 67% in Primary Education and 54% in Secondary Education. “It is curious that in other care-based jobs (nurses, nursing assistants, geriatric work, etc.) men have naturally entered, but in both teaching the youngest and in the dining halls, there has been almost no change.”
