Viana: Work accident while buttoning his pants in the bathroom

He works as a “meat officer” in a meat company in Viana do Castelo. In February 2023, he went to the company bathroom to take care of his physiological needs. While buttoning his pants, he suffered trauma to the third finger of his left hand. The Labor Court considered that it was a work accident, contrary to the opinion of the employer and the insurance company Fidelidade. Decision now confirmed by the Guimarães Court of Appeal.
