West Grand School District hosts literacy event with plenty of pirates

On April 3, families filled the West Grand K-8 gym, where they could embark on a treasure hunt and learn about the importance of literacy. The event was the school district’s first Literacy & Community Connections Night. West Grand Superintendent Liz Bauer said the educational activities were a great way to bring the community together.
