After customs notice: US exchange starts with significant losses

For sensor company Airthings, the new tariffs from Trump could have major consequences and the company is among Thursday's brush losers. “The United States is our most important market,” said Airthings CEO Emma Tryti.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump unveiled his comprehensive new customs plan and declared the "Day of Liberation" for US trading policy. First, however, this triggered a quake on the global stock market. On Thursday, the stock markets reacted globally with high losses, investors switched to more crisis-proof government bonds and gold.
