A father in his 30s who pushed and verbally abused his young child for playing with his smartphone late at night was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence. Judge Shin Yoon-ju of the 2nd Criminal Division of the Cheongju District Court sentenced A, who was indicted on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act (child abuse) and property damage.
