Wil (88) knits plaster socks for hospital: 'I have to do something'

For almost three years, 88-year-old Wil Muskens has been knitting cheerful, funny and especially warm plaster socks for the plaster rooms of the St. Antonius Hospital in Woerden, Nieuwegein and Utrecht. On her dresser in the living room are more than 150 thank you cards. "So nice that you provide something warm, soft and despite the pain, a smile."
