Sgt. 1st Class Britt Talley, a resource noncommissioned officer with the Illinois Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion (RRB), was honored during a retirement ceremony April 18 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield.
Winzer Retires After 31 Years
After 31 years, Nancy Winzer, Port Huron’s Deputy City Manager, retired, leaving a legacy of revitalized parks. A St. Clair County Community College and Central Michigan University alumna, she joined the city’s Parks and Recreation Department in ’94, becoming director in 2010, and was promoted in ’23. At her final council meeting, she praised Port Huron’s dedicated workers.
