World economy: IMF defies Washington

While the World Bank seems to be pro-active on Washington's line, the IMF is still defying pressure from the US.

The spring meeting of the IMF and the World Bank this year came only fifteen days after the announcement of the introduction of huge tariffs, almost for the whole world, by the USA and its president Donald Trump.
