Macron to honour craftspeople who rebuilt Notre Dame

Six years after the fire that ravaged the famous Parisian monument, a hundred officials, entrepreneurs and artisans who participated in its reconstruction were received on the evening of Tuesday 15 April at the Élysée where they were decorated with the Legion of Honour or the Medal of the National Order of Merit, two of the highest French distinctions.The Head of State greeted in them "the Notre-Dame generation".

On Tuesday, the president presented the Legion of Honour to 101 of the builders who worked on the site of Notre-Dame de Paris. Among them, the carpenter Matteo Pellegrino.
