Kalkaska · KalkaskaBy: Al ParkerKALKASKA – In response to a number of public complaints, the County Road Commission and the Board of Commissioners will host a “State of the Roads” public hearing about the deteriorating condition of Kalkaska’s roads at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Rachael Birgy KALKASKA – School Board officials re-elected Rachael Birgy as board president and chose Steve Ordway for vice president during the Jan. 20 meeting.
Trustees unanimously chose Wendy Watson as secretary and Mary Scobey as treasurer. They also welcomed Mitchell Saxton who was chosen by voters in November to replace Regan Foerster whose term ended on Dec. 31.
